Kremlin announces expiration of Black Sea grain deal
“As [Putin] pointed out earlier, the deadline was 17 July. Unfortunately, the part of the agreement that concerned Russia has not yet been fulfilled. Therefore, the deal is being terminated,” Peskov said.
He assured that Russia would return to the grain deal as soon as its requirements are fulfilled, adding that the recent explosion on the Crimea Bridge could not affect the agreement.
Commenting on the attack, which killed two people and injured a minor, Peskov said that “we know its causes and we know who is behind this act of terror” and accused Kyiv of “killing a young family”.
The Kremlin spokesman warned that Russia will retaliate by “achieving all the goals of the special military operation, which will continue”.
He also said that President Putin will conduct a meeting on Monday evening to discuss the situation on the Crimea Bridge.
Russian authorities have opened a criminal case into terrorism after an explosion on Monday morning rocked the Crimea Bridge, killing a married couple and injuring their daughter.
